  • Morten L. Dyrsø Lustrup

    Wheel Throwing + Glaze Master

I touched my first piece of clay in my aunt’s workshop when I was around 6, and haven’t looked back since. Besides wheel throwing my main expertise is everything that has to do with glazes.

I have studied at The Danish Royal Academy of Fine Arts, and I have been working with ceramics since 2011.

When I’m not knee deep in clay and glazes, I love going on hikes and forage any and all edible things from the woods of Denmark.

  • Lena Malchau

    Studio Elf + Mug Master

My journey into ceramics started in 2016 when I took a 10 weeks course in ceramics. Since then I was addicted to clay.

I have an academic background in sports from University of Copenhagen and a general high level of energy so ceramics is a perfect outlet for that.

My experience is doing wheel throwing from a lot of hands on practicing, as well as doing ceramics in Copenhagen and on Djursland.

Besides ceramics I love outdoor life and to ski. I have studied sport in Norway and have a soft spot for mountains. And I am addicted to good coffee.

  • Julia Krzywinska

    Studio Assistance + Wheel Throwing

graduated at The Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław with a degree in Ceramics, before going to Seoul, South Korea to perfect my wheel throwing skills at Kyung Hee University. Now I’m enjoying everything Copenhagen has to offer!

When I’m being creative myself, I like to deconstructing concepts related to body, identity, culture and technology. It’s awesome.

In my spare time I like to go to art shows and produce music, which sometimes goes with my own projects.

  • Cille Grosell

    Wheel Throwing

I graduated from The Royal Danish Academy on Bornholm in 2024 with a degree in glass and ceramics.

My artistic practice is a fusion of traditional craftsmanship, design, and experimental artistry, resulting in the creation of large, sculptural, and functional objects (primarily) in clay!

  • Gabriella Gormley

    Wheel Throwing

I started throwing in 2014 and got quite quickly caught by it! Since then I travelled to Japan to pursue this interest and eventually wound up in Bornholm in 2019 where I got a Bachelor’s degree in Ceramics. Since graduating, I have been working as an artist using clay as well as other materials too.
I look forward to sharing some of my love for the wheel and clay with you !

  • Maria Striim

    Wheel Throwing

My ceramic skills have grown from a playful curiosity, a love for shapes and a fascination of the almost magical process of the soft clay becoming a useful and beautiful piece.

It’s a great pleasure to teach others and share the joy when everything works out the way we planned(ish).

Outside the ceramic studio I can be found on a dance floor, moving my body in all sorts of ways. I’m a contemporary dancer and choreographer and in that field I have been teaching and facilitating artistic work for all groups of people.

  • Nina Frigg Christensen

    Wheel Throwing

Ever since i was introduced to ceramics at Ry Højskole in 2018, I have loved worked with this natural material. I since attended Aarhus Art Academy to master my wheel throwing skills.

I can’t seem to get enough, so I am currently studying Art History and Modern Culture at Copenhagen University to examine clay in an academic context.

To me its important to both understand clay as art and craftsmanship with my head as well as my hands.

  • Maria Thind

    Studio Elf

When I work with clay, I step into a magical space, where everything else disappears from my mind. There is only me and the clay, such an amazing feeling.

This feeling got me addicted to the universe of clay and I wanted to make it a part of my work life. Having a background in administration, I enjoy to combine the administrative and practical tasks at Let's Clay.

I also spent my time exploring adventures with my kids in the forest, at the beach or cruising on bikes in the streets of Copenhagen. Besides that I have a great passion for Icelandic horses.

  • Morgan Wendlandt

    Hand Building

I discovered a passion for clay at an early age and gravitated towards hand building techniques to create sculptural works and intricate pieces with various themes. I am originally from the US, but have now relocated to Denmark after finishing my Bachelor’s degree.

When I’m not getting a sculpture just right, I delve into jewelry making, watercolor painting, sewing and theater.

I believe that art is inherently therapeutic, offering value beyond technical skill or the final product. I like to emphasizes the importance of the creative process itself, advocating for its potential to foster personal growth and well-being.
